How professional installation works
Installed by an MCS-certified installer (Fresh Solar). Currently England only. Includes technical survey, electrical certification, and DNO notification. Where your home qualifies, the battery is hardwired to your consumer unit and the energy meter paired; the survey confirms the model-specific household output and whether any backup equipment is included.
Eligible battery configurations
£500
Flat fitting fee per order, added to the battery price — covers the whole site visit, hardwiring and smart meter fitting (the smart meter is included at no extra cost). The product page shows current availability; every order remains subject to survey.
Other products or configurations
Self-install
If the product page does not show professional installation, use only the documented charging and appliance-output modes. Ask us before ordering a meter add-on.

Prefer to plug in and go instead?
No installer needed. Plug-in batteries plug into a normal 13A socket. Out of the box they run on a timetable: charging in your cheap-rate window and powering your home at peak times.
Optional Smart Meter upgrade (+£200). Add it and the battery follows what your home uses and soaks up spare solar that would otherwise go unused. It is an upgrade, not a requirement.
Enter your postcode and system details. We confirm installer availability, qualifications, connection requirements and any limits before work is agreed.
